Facing sweeping cuts in funding, last year's ASUCR senate removed $3,000 in finances from the campus LGBT Resource Center. The move failed to be communicated to the center and to many members of the then incoming, now current, student senate. That the finances, which were used in the past to send a number of students to the annual Western Regional Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual, Queer, Intersex and Allies (LGBTQIA) College Conference, were gone did not come to light until late in the fall quarter.… 1 Comment

For UC Riverside's Associate Professor of Philosophy Erich Reck, however, this is not the case. Researcher receives $1.5 million grant for network security study

UC Riverside professor of computer science Michalis Faloutsos has received a $1.5 million grant as part of a new initiative by the U.S. Army Research Laboratory. * UC San Diego - The athletic department has put plans for a football team on hold until at least fall of 2010, opting instead to overhaul the department-a move that would make UCSD a D-I school.
