Highlanders 71 - Tigers 59 The UC Riverside women's basketball team continued their three-game road trip on Saturday against Pacific looking to win fifth game over a Big West opponent. The UC Riverside men's golf team begins their spring portion of the season this week at the Anteater Invite in Costa Mesa. The team finished their fall portion with a second place finish at the Bill Cullum Invite on Oct. 26 and the team looks prepared to continue to dominate.… 1 Comment

Highlanders 7 - Tigers 0 The UCR Highlanders Men's Tennis team steamrolled the RCC Tigers en route to a 7-0 victory at home. From the first serve on in the doubles matches, it was evident that the Tigers were just overmatched. The Highlanders took the lead and ran away with it - the teams of Quoc Doan and Felix Macherez, Austin Andres and John Park, Mike Conroy andFreddy Quintos won their matches 8-0, 8-2 and 8-2 respectively.… Post the First Comment

This past week the Highlanders fell to two Northern California teams in Big West Conference showdowns. The losses hurt the mood of the Highlanders' locker room and further frustrated players. The Superbowl is the biggest competition of the year. There is nowhere where more money is spent that can be seen on TV. And for those not interested in a veritable Olympics of TV marketing firms, there is a football game to be played as well. This year, the Saints and the Colts are the two teams that will be playing an evening match this next Sunday in Miami and I am left with the unenviable task of picking a winner to what looks to be a tremendously competitive game.… Post the First Comment

With 2010 Track and Field Season starting this month, the UCR Highlanders look to improve upon last season's success.
